An estimated 300 people participated in the march against drugs
Today's beautiful blue skies allowed the sun to shine on some otherwise somber faces. An estimated 300 people gathered to pray for our county and for the victims of drug abuse. Many shared their stories of horror which included suicide and murder. No family has been immune to the plague of drugs and the citizens of McCreary County are determined to turn the destructive tide that has befallen. Plans were made by some of the local churches to "adopt" a local school to pray for on a regular basis, a minister's organization was discussed and is in the planning stages, and further marches are on the horizen.

Prayer Team Coordinator Eva Buckingham
Dear Friends
Throughout history God has called his people to pray and worship together. For a few years now, a prayer team has assembled to pray specifically for the needs we face here in McCreary County. The prayer team partners live in a variety of states across the country. They commit to praying once (or more) weekly. Please prayerfully consider being part of the email prayer team. It would mean that you would pick a day of the week to pray for the needs of the community during your regular prayer time. If you are interested, please send an email to our prayer team coordinator. Mrs. Eva Buckingham. Her email address is: eva@buckinghamic.com
