Hills & Hollers

Pleasant Ridge

Dear Team Leaders:

Thank you for wanting to partner with ICM in caring
for the folks who call Rattlesnake Ridge their home.
These ridges and hollers are home to some amazing folks,
some incredible suffering, some lost hope, and some families who very much need your encouragement
and your help.  They need your heartfelt encouragement and love as much as any repair you’ll offer to do with/for them.

With that in mind, we ask you to look at our calendar for available dates.
Once you have decided upon available dates, print the financial agreement, carefully read, sign, and return the financial agreement to us to confirm your team dates.  Note:  No Team is considered confirmed until we receive this agreement and non-refundable fee and send you a confirmation letter in return.

Please mail to:

Project P-8

This is a family consisting of the grandmother, her son, his wife, and their young son.  Primarily, the existing roof(s) need to be removed and a new
roof put on.  There are leak damages to the ceilings and some walls especially in the kitchen.  When it rains they cannot go into the kitchen for
experiencing electric shocks.

Project P-7

This lady lives alone with her dog in a rotting trailer.  The entire base of the trailer has rusted in two.  Numerous holes in the floor.  Numerous open holes around the door facings due to a leaking roof.  She has slept on the sofa all winter long to be near the
wood/coal stove she uses for heat.  There are places throughout where you can see the ground through the floor of the trailer.

Project P-1

This home belongs to an elderly woman who lives alone.  Last winter a fire destroyed her chimney and damaged her walls inside and out.  Water from putting out the fire damaged her ceilings in the living room and kitchen.  She also needs a small back porch as she cannot exit the kitchen because the step down is too long.
The kitchen ceiling and walls need painted and the siding on this home also needs to be replaced.

Project P-4

A young couple with their two young sons, a toddler and an infant, live in this 1971 model trailer.  It is 14 x 68 feet long.  They desire most of all to have new windows put in.  The windows are in ill repair.  On the day of our visit, the windows were covered with plastic and 2 or 3 layers of
quilts on top of that.  The flooring is bad with numerous areas of rot underneath the carpet.  The ceiling also leaks.  As you can tell from the first picture, mold is also a problem now.  This trailer simply needs to be replaced if at all possible.

* this family primarily wishes to have windows if all projects cannot
be completed.
